About Healthy Communities Giving Program

United WayAt PacificSource, our aim is to partner with our communities to achieve health, resiliency, and well-being for individuals and families. We actively collaborate with, and invest in, organizations that share these goals.

We know that the conditions where people live, learn, work, play and age affect a wide range of health risks and outcomes. PacificSource seeks to promote healthy communities by:

  • Addressing the social conditions that impact health (such as through supporting food security, housing, healthcare access, education, and transportation)
  • Fostering resilient individuals, families, and communities (such as through a focus on early childhood, reducing or mitigating adverse childhood experiences, fostering social connection, promoting mental and emotional well-being, and strengthening community engagement)

Our Healthy Communities giving program is one way that PacificSource supports communities, by providing financial support, in-kind donations, and employee volunteer assistance. 

Healthy Communities is employee-driven and regionally focused, sponsoring events or small grants. Each regional committee may choose to emphasize particular areas of focus or types of giving. For more information, please contact Chelsie Carter at (541) 706-5188. 

Healthy Communities Requirements 

  • Organization must meet IRS qualifications for nonprofit charitable organizations, 501(c)(3) organization
  • Financial contributions must benefit people within the communities we serve
  • Funds cannot be used for arts, sports-related, political, or faith-specific/religious causes

Use our online Healthy Communities Submission Form to commit to the program guidelines and requirements, and submit a proposal.
