Effective March 31, PacificSource purchased Advantage Dental’s Medicare and Commercial dental contracts.
What does this mean for PacificSource and our Medicare and Commercial dental members?
- There are no planned changes to the network composition with this acquisition. Our Medicare and Commercial members will still have access to their preferred in-network dental providers.
- PacificSource will now manage all aspects of contracting and credentialing for the former Advantage Dental network for both the Medicare and Commercial lines of business.
- The acquisition of the Advantage Dental contracts provides PacificSource with a significant dental provider base in Oregon, with the opportunity to expand direct contracting efforts throughout Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.
- PacificSource will continue to use Dental PPO in Washington state.
- PacificSource will re-name our 2024 Medicare and Commercial dental network and products to remove references to Advantage Dental.
We are thrilled about acquiring Advantage Dental contracts as this will be foundational for us to build our Medicare and commercial proprietary dental networks.
