PacificSource Community Health Plans Expands Medicare Offerings to Pierce and Spokane Counties

(TACOMA, Wash.) Oct. 1, 2018—PacificSource Community Health Plans announces it will expand its Medicare offerings in Washington State to include Pierce and Spokane counties beginning in October, 2018. MultiCare will serve as PacificSource’s provider partner in those two counties. Medicare plans sold in 2018 will have an effective date of January 1, 2019.

PacificSource and MultiCare will offer multiple access points of care, including a no-cost nurse advice line and no-cost virtual care through MultiCare’s “Virtual Care” video visits, which can be accessed from a patient’s home. Patients can also access MultiCare’s Indigo Urgent Care centers found at 16 locations in the region. MultiCare offers more than 3,500 providers through its MultiCare Connected Care network.

PacificSource has been offering Medicare plans in Clark County since January 2018, through the Legacy Health network. PacificSource Community Health Plans is a subsidiary of PacficSource.
