PacificSource Health Plans "Get Out, Get Covered Tour" Aims to Enroll Uninsured Individuals Throughout Oregon, Idaho, Montana

Tour encompasses 55 communities and 93 events from Jan. 13 through late March

(SPRINGFIELD, Ore.)—In an effort to reach uninsured individuals throughout Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, PacificSource Health Plans is launching the “Get Out, Get Covered Tour” (www.GetOutGetCovered.com). Featuring 93 stops in 55 communities from January 13 through late March, “Get Out, Get Covered” events will focus on facilitating health insurance enrollment through drop-in sessions at convenient neighborhood gathering spots.

“The March 31 open enrollment deadline is approaching fast, and many people aren’t sure where to start; they’re frustrated and confused by the changing deadlines and glitches with the enrollment process,” said Ken Provencher, CEO of PacificSource Health Plans. “Whether you live in Portland, Oregon, Jerome, Idaho, Great Falls, Montana, or one of the other 52 communities we plan to visit, we’ll strip away the politics and intimidation and help you get individual answers and support, no matter where you are in the process.”

The events feature a drop-in format that allows individuals to stop by at any point during a 2-3 hour window of time for one-on-one assistance. A series of “consulting stations” staffed by PacificSource representatives and independent insurance agents will provide the opportunity to:

  • Ask individual questions
  • Check eligibility for tax credits and cost-sharing subsidies
  • Explore specific plans and costs
  • Enroll in an appropriate plan
  • Find a primary care physician
  • Walk away with a comprehensive “grab & go” information kit containing pertinent materials

Get Out, Get Covered Tour events will be held during daytime and evening hours in a wide variety of settings. Venues such as community recreation centers, hospitals, and cafes will host daytime events, while pubs, restaurants, and community centers will host evening events. Specific meeting dates, times, and locations, can be found online at http://www.GetOutGetCovered.com.
