As Montana Prepares for Obamacare, PacificSource Health Plans Set to Provide More Than Just Competitive Health Insurance Rates

Company’s Non-Profit Status, Health & Wellness

(HELENA, Mont.)—Montana Insurance Commissioner Monica Lindeen released the final Obamacare marketplace insurance pricing on Monday, August 19, ahead of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act commonly known as Obamacare. Of the three insurers offering coverage in the Montana marketplace, PacificSource Health Plans is competitively priced and in most cases offers lower rates than the other insurers.

“PacificSource has operated as a non-profit for more than 80 years, and as a result we believe in absolute transparency,” said Todd Lovshin, Montana Regional Director for PacificSource Health Plans, “Now that rates are public we can begin the discussions with our members, providers, and all Montanans about PacificSource’s unique product offerings and how we are prepared to help them take control of their health.”

The information released by Commissioner Lindeen’s office confirms that PacificSource is highly competitive in Montana. The company expects its innovative product designs and award-winning customer service to further allow it to grow in every corner of Big Sky Country. PacificSource’s pricing for individual and small group plans, whether purchased through the exchange or through their local community broker, is a further reflection of the company’s strong partnerships with providers.

“Cost comparisons aside, consumers’ interactions with insurance providers are typically limited to questions about policy coverage, reimbursements, and payments, but as much more than a provider of health insurance PacificSource intends to change that,” said Lovshin. “Our Healthy Life initiative is one example of the programs we use to create meaningful interactions with consumers throughout the year.”
