Support for Members with COPD

COPD stands for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. “Chronic” means long term, “obstructive” means that there is a blockage in air flow, and “pulmonary” means that it has to do with the lungs. COPD describes a group of lung conditions that make it difficult to empty the air out of the lungs. The term is also used to describe chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or a combination of the two.

Having a chronic condition can be a challenge. The good news is there are things you can do, including eating well and staying active, that can help you feel better on a daily basis.
