Support for Members with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)

CAD (also called coronary heart disease or CHD) is a condition in which plaque builds up inside the inner walls of the blood vessels that supply oxygen-rich blood to your heart. Like the other muscles in your body, your heart needs a constant flow of blood to do its job. If the flow of blood is reduced or blocked, angina or a heart attack can happen.

If you’ve been diagnosed with CAD, there are things you can do—including eating well and staying active—to reduce your risk of having a heart attack and feel better on a daily basis.

What Our CAD Support Program Offers 

  • A nurse and a dietitian to answer your health questions 
  • Personal support from a health coach to help you reach your health and wellness goals 
  • Ongoing support to help you maintain healthy lifestyle changes 
  • Newsletters with current and helpful information about your health condition

There is no cost for the program for eligible PacificSource members.
