PacificSource Health Plans Supports Local Health Initiatives by Giving $65,350 to Nonprofits Throughout Oregon
Springfield, Ore. – With the goal of increasing access to health care services, Springfield-based PacificSource Health Plans has donated $65,350 to Oregon nonprofit organizations through its charitable foundation and the Healthy Communities Giving Program. The foundation provides financial support for community health initiatives; Healthy Communities is designed to benefit nonprofit organizations that serve the Oregon communities in which PacificSource has members PacificSource has made contributions in the following communities:

- $500 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon to sponsor “Bowl for Kids’ Sake”
- $500 to Healthy Beginnings to sponsor the Grin and Bear It Family Fun Run
Corvallis
- $10,000 to the Parent Enhancement Program for parenting services
Eugene/Springfield
$12,600 to The Child Center for programs
$10,000 to Volunteers in Medicine Clinic for a three-year financial commitment
$7,500 to Prevention and Recovery Northwest for programs
$5,000 to Eugene Hearing and Speech Center for programs
$1,500 to Committed Partners for Youth to sponsor the “Truffle Shuffle”
$1,500 to the Relief Nursery to sponsor “Friday Knight at the Round Table”
$1,250 to McKenzie-Willamette Hospital to sponsor Festival of Trees
