Where does PacificSource stand on healthcare reform?
At PacificSource, our mission is simple: helping people get the healthcare they need. We believe that mission calls for us to be part of the solution to our nation's failing healthcare system. We take that responsibility seriously, and that's why PacificSource has taken a leadership role in many healthcare reform efforts in the Northwest over the last several years.
Our executive and leadership staff members have been actively involved in the Archimedes Movement, the Oregon Health Reform Collaborative, the 100% Access Healthcare Initiative, HealthMatters of Central Oregon, Project Access NOW, and the delivery systems committee of the Oregon Health Fund Board. We're participants and collaborators in many other local, grassroots initiatives as well.
We continue to support efforts that seek to achieve a solution that is fiscally sustainable and that serves to improve health by expanding access to fundamental healthcare services to more individuals. In the legislative process, we continue to support bills that are designed to achieve, or move closer to, universal access and coverage through means that are financially responsible and transparent.
