Volume 2, Issue 8: July 23, 2007 Some June and July Payments Delayed in Mail We’ve just learned that an error at the post office caused delivery of a number of June and July Elect member payments to be significantly delayed. Unfortunately, by the time the postal error was discovered and the payments finally delivered to PacificSource, we had already mailed some past due or termination notices. We are calling the members affected by the error to confirm that we now have their payments, and to express our apologies for the confusion. The Postal Service has assured us that the problem has been corrected. If any of your clients believe that they have been affected by this error and have questions or concerns, they are welcome to contact our Membership Individual Billing Department at (541) 225-1988 or toll-free at (800) 591-6579. Comparison Tools Simplify Plan Selection With the addition of Short Term Medical, there are even more PacificSource individual and family plans to choose from. We now offer two new comparison tools to simplify the selection process and help people choose a plan that’s right for them:

Mike began working as a Marketing Representative at Manley 19 years ago, just nine months after the company was founded. His job is to educate employers and their employees about FSAs and HRAs, and help install such plans for employers. “We don’t sell a product, we sell a service,” he explains. “It’s one of the few times an employer will be able to add a benefit for employees where it won’t cost them, because what they save in payroll taxes usually covers the cost.” Having a flexible work schedule has allowed Mike more freedom to pursue outside interests, including officiating basketball—which he did for 40 years. For 28 of those years he worked at the college level in the Pac-10, West Coast, and Big Sky Conferences. “Every year in the NBA playoffs, I try to count the number of active players I have worked for,” Mike says. Besides basketball, Mike enjoys elk and deer hunting, and plays golf both socially and competitively. A native of Oregon, he was raised on a dairy farm north of Coburg and met his future wife while working on her father’s farm 49 years ago. They now have three children and five grandchildren, and will celebrate their 44th anniversary this December. Susie Chun Serves Southwestern Oregon In her new role as Individual Sales Representative, Susie Chun covers southwest Oregon, including Medford, Klamath Falls, and the southern Oregon coast. “I am excited to help agents provide a wide variety of PacificSource individual plan choices as solutions for their clients,” she says. “I am looking forward to working with agents and individuals in southwestern Oregon.” |
