Announcing On-the-job Coverage for Elect Plans

We're very pleased to announce that effective October 1, 2006, work-related injuries or illnesses will be a covered expense for Elect policies under the following conditions:

• Other coverage, such as workers' compensation benefits, is not available.
• The injury or illness occurred on or after October 1, 2006.
• The member is covered under one of our currently marketed plans.

Because this coverage will be a standard part of all our Elect policies, requesting separate occupational coverage will no longer be required. On-the-job coverage is offered to all Elect members, including those who are self-employed, at no additional charge. Members will receive a letter this week informing them of the change. There is no form to send in; our existing members will automatically have coverage as of the effective date. For more information, you can view the endorsement.
