Matt Schackel, a fountain of knowledge When asked what friends know him best for, Matt Schackel replies, "A guy who knows a lot of useless knowledge. I'm really good at Trivial Pursuit." In reality, Matt has a lot of useful knowledge – about PacificSource's individual products. Matt, an Individual Service Representative, spends the majority of his day answering questions from producers and applicants of individual policies. From producers calling to find out about the status of an application, to questions about portability and our individual products – Matt has the answers. Matt also maintains the database that houses underwriting decisions so that information is readily available when producers ask about a specific application. In addition, he handles written requests for application reconsideration and additional requested information.
So, other than pursuing trivia, what occupies Matt's time when he is not at work? Currently, he is into podcasts. "Type in 'podcast' on the Internet, and you'll find a universe of data. It's really fun," says Matt. His favorite podcasts are a public radio show called, "Wait, wait... Don't Tell me," and a general trivia program from England called "Podquiz." Matt is, indeed, a fountain of knowledge. Next time you have a question on PacificSource's Elect products, or just about anything else, call Matt. |
