Reason #2: Our provider network. Did you know that if Elect policyholders move out of state they can keep their policy coverage? It's true. They're welcome to retain their Elect policy and take advantage of the plan's participating provider benefits by using The First Health Network. We contract with The First Health Network for our members residing or traveling outside Oregon, southwest Washington, and western Idaho (where our own proprietary network exists).

Did you also know that within our Oregon service area, our provider network includes more than 9,000 participating physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers? Now that our network includes all the Providence Health System hospitals and physician groups, our network coverage is as good as it gets in Oregon.

Notification of privacy practices to our members

We have received a number of inquiries from agents regarding our process for distributing our Notice of Privacy Practices to members. Based on statutory requirements, health insurance organizations must notify their members at least once every three years to explain how their medical information may be used and disclosed. PacificSource's current policy meets or exceeds these statutory requirements. We mail the notice to all members with our annual Member Bulletin each December.
