Issue 11: December 15, 2006 New Online Health Management Program: InTouch With Your Health We are pleased to provide a new program that will give all of our members more tools to optimize their health. We will introduce the program to our members in our annual Member Bulletin newsletter, which mails December 28th. This month, all PacificSource members will have access to InTouch With Your Health, our new online resource for health management. Powered by WebMD®, InTouch With Your Health provides members with the information they need to make smart choices about their health. From information about preventing or managing a serious disease to a personalized health improvement plan, they'll find a variety of powerful and easy-to-use tools from one of the most trusted sources of health and medical information, including:
Members will be able to access InTouch With Your Health via the For Members area of the PacificSource Web site. They must first register and receive an InTouch login PIN—which is issued by postal mail—to enter the site. We are currently streamlining our registration and PIN assignment process to allow real-time online registration. When that work is complete in the spring, we will launch a targeted communication campaign to our members encouraging them to use InTouch With Your Health and our other online tools. For more information on all the wellness and health management programs available to PacificSource members, see our new Health Management sales flier. New Program Offers Reimbursement for Hospital-based Health Education Classes Many hospitals offer classes on topics that can help members optimize their health, such as pregnancy, parenting, heart health, weight loss, nutrition, and fitness. Beginning January 1, 2007, members can participate in classes offered by their local hospital and receive reimbursement as part of their PacificSource coverage. We will reimburse up to $50 per hospital-based health or wellness class, class series, or program, up to a total of $150 per eligible member per plan year. Covered dependents are also eligible for this benefit. Only health and wellness classes offered by hospitals are eligible for the reimbursement. Members can check with their area hospital or visit our Web site for more information. Our new payroll stuffer and member flier, containing details about eligibility and a reimbursement request form, are available on the For Members/Forms & Materials section of our Web site. Individual Department Holds Tuesday Meetings Occasionally on Tuesdays, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., our Individual Department staff may be away from their desks for department meetings. These meetings allow us to provide training and share important information that helps us better serve our customers. During this short time, your call will be answered by the Individual Department voicemail system. You will be invited to leave a message and have a staff member return your call the same day, usually within an hour or two. |
