Mailings Notify Renewing Clients of Healthcare Reform Changes
Fully insured group and individual clients renewing this fall will receive a mailing from us this week with an advance copy of their endorsement and a cover letter explaining changes related to healthcare reform. Read the full article in the August 30 Agent Bulletin Special Edition.
Early Deadline for New and Renewing September Clients
We have scheduled a necessary upgrade to our core operating software September 5-6, during Labor Day weekend. Our timeline for setting up benefits for new groups or renewals that have benefit changes will be temporarily affected. In preparation for the software upgrade, we will need to "freeze" new benefit set-ups beginning August 26. Please submit September new clients and renewals by August 23. We have completed the acquisition of Clear One Health Plans, Inc. of Bend, Oregon. The addition of Clear One’s expertise in Medicare and Medicaid programs, combined with PacificSource’s commercial business, creates the opportunity to collaborate with providers across a broader spectrum of patients to improve healthcare quality and access. Update on Extension of Dependent Eligibility
As we shared with you in our April 30 Agent Bulletin, effective May 1, we will allow dependents currently covered on their parents' health plan to keep that coverage until they reach age 26. Read our update in the May 10 Agent Bulletin Special Edition.
