New Travel Assistance Benefit Coming Soon

Beginning October 1, 2007, PacificSource members with medical coverage will find more peace of mind when traveling 100 miles or more from home. Our travel benefits will soon include Assist America®—the nation’s largest provider of global emergency services. We're in the process of developing our marketing communication materials for this new value-added program, and we’ll provide more information in the next Agent Bulletin.

Oregon FHIAP Hosts CE Classes

Oregon's Family Health Insurance Assistance Program (FHIAP) helps thousands of Oregon families pay their monthly premiums for high-quality, private health insurance plans. FHIAP staff will offer CE classes in the following cities:

  • Bend: September 12
  • Wilsonville: September 19, October 17, and November 21
  • Pendleton: September 26
  • Ontario: September 27
  • Eugene: October 10

The four-hour course covers:

  • Government programs to help insure Oregonians
  • Insurance Division licensing requirements for agents
  • Federal and state regulations governing small employer health insurance

Boise Office to Host Business Open House

On September 27, our Boise regional office will host an open house to introduce PacificSource to many of the area’s businesses and celebrate our official entry into the Idaho market. PacificSource and Manley Services representatives, as well as our executive leadership team, will be on hand to meet attendees. Now that we’ve arrived in Idaho’s Treasure Valley, we can’t wait to get to know the area businesses and share our unique approach to helping people get the healthcare they need.

PacificSource Named Finalist for Community Caring Award

The Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce has named PacificSource one of three finalists in the Community Caring category of the fourth annual Emerald Awards. The awards honor businesses in the Eugene/Springfield area that contribute to the community's vitality and quality of life. Each finalist will be honored and award winners will be announced at a celebration on September 25.

The Chamber selected PacificSource as a finalist for its “organizational culture, which fosters a commitment to enhancing the quality of life in the communities it serves. Whether through its foundation, employee involvement, or community giving program, PacificSource demonstrates a sincere commitment to improving the quality of life both here in Lane County and throughout the Pacific Northwest.”
