Special Edition Still Waiting for your SEHI Check or Statement? “Nothing is more intolerable than to have to admit to yourself your own errors.” Last week, we reported that your October SEHI and individual commission payment would be issued as scheduled on October 4. However, we’ve just been informed by our check printing vendor that they did not actually release the statements and checks until yesterday, October 10. If you receive commissions by direct deposit, your funds should have cleared your account last week, and your statement will arrive in the next few days. If you receive commissions via paper checks, you can expect to receive your commission check(s) and statement(s) within the next few days. Please note that the problem this time was completely unrelated to our new computer system, and was simply a miscommunication with our new check printing vendor. Once again, we thank you for your continued patience and your business. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your PacificSource Sales Representative. From time to time, we make changes to our health plan benefits to keep them in line with market demands and regulatory requirements. We are preparing a number of Oregon group health plan changes, that will begin with January 1 renewals. A benefit change letter to large groups and a similar letter to small groups will be sent with renewal notifications. The letter advises plan administrators to copy and distribute the benefits change letter to their covered employees as advance notice of the upcoming plan change. After each group’s renewal date, we will provide updated benefit materials for all employees. The following summarizes the major changes to covered services:
In addition to these benefit changes, the definition for a small employer will be modified, effective January 1, 2008, to include employers that employed an average of at least two but not more than 50 employees during the preceding calendar year. For employer groups previously not defined as a small employer (typically those employers with 26 to 50 employees), PacificSource must apply small employer premium methodologies (as prescribed in law for small employer groups). The new rating methodologies will impact groups as they renew on or after April 1, 2008. If you have questions about the benefit changes, you’re welcome to contact your PacificSource Sales Representative. |
