Individual Application Process Q&A
Question: If my client wants to add health history or change their effective date, should I submit a revised application?
Answer: No. Please submit an Idaho Individual Application Update Form if your client needs to update their medical history or wishes to change their effective date.
Please note: if the initial application has a signature date more than 62 days old, we require a new Idaho Universal Application.
Question: My client has signed the acceptance letter, but changed the effective date. Can I go ahead and fax it to you along with a copy of the premium check?
Answer: No. An Idaho Individual Application Update Form is necessary to change the effective date listed on the acceptance letter. We require this form to be signed and returned before changing the effective date. Upon receipt of the completed form, we will issue a new offer letter for signature, which will need to be submitted with the first month’s premium.
Note: There’s no need to fax or e-mail copies of the check with an acceptance offer. We will use the postmark as the date received. However, the acceptance letter is not considered received until your client’s payment arrives with the signed offer.
We’re always happy to answer your questions.
